handphone for icip2
after such a long time, i finally have a new handphone!!! hahaha ^-^my old samsung is barely functional due to its LCD failure
so i got a white sony ericsson w 910i which i hugely love =D
it produces crystal clear sound and i have even recorded the symphony of the frogs for ci deth
and i can finally take pictures again with my new phone
not of very good quality, understandably, only 2 MP
but well life feels so much better after living with a semi-broken phone for the past year
most pictures that I take in my phone so far are pictures of food
which Im supposed to upload for this blog
but i still need to install the programme so I can start uploading pictures from my phone to PC
ugh ... i just hate all this kind of technological process and im afraid im bound to postpone it forever
read a very interesting bit of writing in Weekender about this techno-phobia thing: "in my parents' day, people bought a new TV and only had to plug it in and they were instantly entertained. But in our day today, we buy a certain device, have to read the manual which is thicker than Tolstoy's War and Peace, and install a million other programmes first before we're finally entertained"
I just can't agree more ... talking about how technology complicates instead of simplifying our already complicated life!!!

real pancake day
oh GOOD NEWS apparently the ads are back!!!
we have got almost 25 dollars so far, so icip-icipers keep on clicking for your free meal later ^-^
ci deth ended up making the pancake on wednesday not friday as reported previously
the pancakes are huge, served with butter, honey and strawberry jam
then hihiwati mentioned about the new pancake place in PVJ
suffering pancake fever still, we decided to go there for icip-icip on thursday
the name of the restaurant is THE PANCAKE PARLOUR
It's located next to Starbucks Cafe in the front of PVJ
Rather pricey (range between 18.000 to 30.000) but tastes great
in front of the pancake parlour

when they are posing in front of the resto for the pic, the car was abt to hit them all
right after the click, everyone jumped aside to avoid the car ^-^
we ordered two pancakes
one banana pancake (as seen in the picture above) and one farmer's chicken
the banana one costs 24.000 and listed under the "fruit pancake" section
served warm with maple syrup, vanilla ice cream, and raisins
when it's served, ucil wondered what might make the price so expensive
but jen-jen testified that the banana is so delicious that "it is the tastiest banana i've ever had n my life"
it's a bit hyperbolic, definitely
but it kinda justified the price
well, we forget to take picture of the second pancake because we were starving
and when we're starving, we tend to be panicky and forgetful
the chicken pancake was also good
and then we moved to shin men, the japanese resto next door
and ordered sushi (california roll and spicy tuna)
except ci deth who ordered sth that looked and tasted like "kuotie"
everyone went home full and happy
although klub icip-icip (as usual) is running out of money ... again

pancake day
ci deth is going to cook pancake this Friday
when she went shopping to Yomart for the ingredients with hihiwati, they came back with a sweet treat for me - pisang ijo soaked in chocolate milk with raisins and nuts
this one is smaller than the one i used to eat in RM Sulawesi
but it's nice ... after such a long time living without pisang ijo, i forget already that once life used to be so sweet ^-^
