the original plan was to go eating steamboat at cibadak. apa daya jean2 dan jempol kakinya yang baru kena tragedi ga bisa makan yang amis. so we switched to food junction, a new food court with 'jungly' atmosphere at the top of braga walk. kalo dipikir-pikir lagi kita memang sering sekali switch plans!!! *menandakan fleksibilitas yang tinggi dari anggota klub atau perencanaan yang selalu kurang matang hehehe*
jean2 and sandra opted for traditional food today. ayam taliwang originates from lombok. the chicken is cooked in chilly spice and since jean2 is the spice lover of the club, she was the one ordering ayam taliwang. sandra whose taste is a bit milder, chose ayam goreng lombok yang tidak pedas sama sekali. ci deth was apparently on a diet, not coz she planned to lose weight but but due to budget problem ^^
fenty's choice was the most exotic. entah apa nama pesanannya tapi pokoknya it seems like a marriage between steamboat and noodles. so she got a bowl of kuetiaw lengkap dengan pangsit-pangsitnya dan satu panci steamboat untuk kuahnya. it was such a big portion that she almost couldnt finist it. ALMOST ...
afterwards we all watched DA VINCI CODE. the controversial dialogues were censored dengan cara ga ditampilin teks indonesianya. kinda useless, in my opinion. ci deth malah ketawa-ketawa waktu the big secret of sophie neveu was revealed in the end. jean2 protes: kalo di buku kan harusnya ada adiknya. fenty said: apa sih tadi itu, aku ko ga ngerti? sandra complained about the failure of the film in building suspense compared to the novel. tapi besok libur jadi semua orang pulang dengan bahagia termasuk jempol kaki jean2 ^^

udang mayonaise, deception, and crocodile in the swimming pool

the best udang mayonaise in the whole world!!!
fenty and her avocado pudding ... she is about to be 'food o'-ed 
starving jean2 is very happy when the food comesFINALLY ... we all went to have the best udang mayonaise in the world. after a swimming session all afternoon (well, this is not true really - karena lebih banyak berendam daripada berenangnya), deth, sandra, and jean2 were terribly starving by the time we arrived in eastern. fenty, who's losing her voice today, joined us for dinner (and believe it or not, she did recover her voice by the time we finished eating). and so we ordered the udang which is really really really delicious. 'entah karena memang enak ato karena lagi lapar banget,' kata jean2. karena belum kenyang we also ordered some more dim sum, assuming the price was half discounted as IT WAS STATED IN THE MENU!!! turns out later that it was a deception coz we had to pay full price. UGH!!!
discovered tonight that jean2 had a strange fantasy about crocodile in the swimming pool so we all planned to make a movie about it ^^

a taste of oriental

the original plan is to have a big post-lunch in grand eastern dan makan udang mayonaise-nya yg legendaris. we are all starving!!! apa daya dua-duanya eastern yang kita datengin ternyata sedang siesta break. jadi terpaksa choose another option. so we went to thai express. jean2 mikirin menunya lama sekali karena kebingungan before finally chose kaeng khiew wan gai.
gai = chicken, kaeng = curry, or so we guess from the menu ^^
sandra makan kaeng kari gai (yellow curry) dan yang paling bahagia adalah deth dengan phat kung woon sen (glass noodle) - the joy is unmistakable in the pic ^_^ 'aku belum kenyang,' kata deth setelah makan satu piring tapi anehnya dia ga ikutan makan rotiboy panas sebagai dessert. perhaps she wants the second helping instead.

our favourites: jean2 loves everything with nuts on it (obviously shown on the pic), deth kesukaannya cinnaple (top right), kalo sandra yg glaze (enam donat yg dua baris dari kiri). rekor masih dipegang sandra yang pernah makan almost half a dozen on one sitting!!! sebelnya j.co ini selalu penuh aja jadi kita harus mengungsi ke food court di atas yg anehnya selalu sepi. terus kita makannya sambil minum tebs dan aqua. tp harus hati-hati terhadap satu mba-nya yang suka salah ngasih pesenan. pesennya glaze, dimasukinnya sugar ice!!! mana baru ketauan setelah nyampe di food court dan udah jauh kalo mau turun lagi dan komplain ...
